VIDEO OF THE WEEK: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN – ‘GLORY DAYS’

August 12, 2019

Directed by Academy Award-nominee John Sayles, this video – just like the song it’s illustrating – has lost none of its power since its original release.

The fifth single from Bruce Sprinsteen’s planet-straddling ‘Born In The USA’ album, the video was a local affair for the Boss with external scenes shot in New Jersey’s Miller Park Stadium, while the interior bar band scenes were filmed in legendary Hoboken venue, Maxwell’s.

Interestingly, the video features Steve Van Zandt, who’d left the band two years previously, and new members Nils Lofgren and Patti Scialfa who hadn’t appeared on ‘Born In The USA’ at all.
