VIDEO OF THE WEEK: LOU REED – ‘NO MONEY DOWN’

September 3, 2018

Watching this video from 1986, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Lou Reed was less a product of the Golden Age of Rock’n’Roll and more a creation of Skynet.

In actual fact, this innovative and forward thinking video was directed by former 10CC members and rock duo Godley & Creme.

Though they’d helmed more than 50 videos for a wide variety of artists in the early 1980s, ‘No Money Down’ is arguably the pair’s highwater mark thanks to its groundbreaking use of animatronics.
