VIDEO OF THE WEEK: MEAT LOAF – ‘DEAD RINGER FOR LOVE’

August 13, 2018

The lead track from Meat Loaf’s 1981 album of the same name comes on like ‘Grease’s ‘Summer Nights’ on steroids, featuring an extraordinary performance from the one and only Cher.

And despite all the right components being in place, the song took an amazing three months to climb up the charts to finally peak at No. 5 in the UK charts.

The video was directed by Allan F. Nicholls, who as an actor had appeared in the acclaimed films ‘Nashville’ and ‘Slap Shot’ and the live action version of ‘Popeye’, which starred Robin Williams.
