Hailing from New York City, Spin Doctors hit international pay dirt with this insanely catchy single back in the heady days of 1993.
‘Two Princes’ went Top 10 in (deep breath) Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
Naturally, the video is as much fun as the song and captures the essence of both Spin Doctors and the love tussle at the heart of ‘Two Princes’.
Shot in black and white, one half of the video finds the ‘Docs doing their thing, while the other finds a waitress being woo’d by a pair of – you got it – princes. After a fashion.
It’s not hard to see how this scored so massively.
