January 7, 2019
For the first Video Of The Week of 2019, it’s entirely apposite that we should turn our attention to what was The Clash’s first single release in the US.
Back home, ‘I Fought The Law’ was the band’s eighth single and along with ‘Groovy Times’, ‘Gates Of The West’ and ‘Capital Radio’, it appeared on the ‘The Cost of Living’ EP.
This incendiary footage was shot at the Lyceum Theatre in the closing overs of 1978 and featured in the 1980 movie, ‘Rude Boy’.
