Sometimes it can become a little too easy to take some of the finer things in life for granted.
Such was the colossal success of the Euro ’96 anthem ‘Three Lions’ that The Lightning Seeds’ breezily melodic masterpieces before and since occasionally take a back seat.
And yet for all that, here’s a reminder why they were such a regular fixture in the singles charts well before a ref’s whistle was blown.
Co-written with Specials singer Terry Hall, ‘Lucky You’ is a delightfully sweet confection that tastes every bit as good as it did upon its release a quarter of a century ago.
