‘Fox On The Run’ was The Sweet’s 14th single but the first that was actually written and produced by the band.
A massive hit on both sides of the Atlantic in 1975, ‘Fox On The Run’ peaked in the UK charts ay No. 2 and was the band’s last British Top 10 hit.
The single has had more than one new lease of life thanks to its appearance in a huge range of films from stone cold classics like ‘Dazed And Confused’ and ‘Detroit Rock City’ to contemporary pop smash hits like ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’, as well as cover versions by Girlschool and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
