One of the great rock’n’roll ‘what-ifs’ is pondering what The Psychdelic Furs would’ve sounded like had they actually managed to secure David Bowie to occupy the producer’s chair for their third studio album, ‘Forever Now’.
As it was, with Todd Rundgren producing the record, the band matured their sound and in doing so reached a wider and international audience. Lead single ‘Love My Way’ cracked the UK and US Top 50s and stormed New Zealand’s top 10.
Listening back to it from a vantage point of 35 years, it sounds every bit as good now as it did then.
