VIDEO OF THE WEEK: The Stranglers – ‘Skin Deep’

October 13, 2017

Though they’ll forever be associated with the white-hot blast of fury that was punk rock, The Stranglers not only outlasted many of their contemporaries, they continued to score hits long after their competitors bit the dust.

‘Skin Deep’ is a case in point. Released in 1984 and taken from their eighth studio album, ‘Aural Sculpture’, the single saw The Stranglers increase their fanbase as they finally broke through Down Under.

What’s more, it sounds so good that it’ll send you back to their 80s period that also included the albums ‘Feline’ and ‘Dreamtime’.
