-The track was released this week in May 1987 and topped the charts in 18 countries, including the UK and the US.
-Whitney won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female’ at the 30th ceremony in March 1988.
-The song was written by George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam, the same pair who wrote Whitney’s ‘How Will I Know’ for her debut studio album.
-It is still one of the most widely beloved and instantly recognisable Whitney Houston hits!
