With the endless summer bangers it was only fitting to give this month’s Artist Spotlight to none other than Calvin Harris!
– Calvin was first attracted to electronic music in his teens and began recording bedroom demos in 1999.
– The likes of Fat Boy Slim and Jamiroquai had inspired Calvin to make music.
– In 2013, Calvin received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year and said “It was easily the greatest achievement of my entire life”.
– Did you know? Calvin Harris was the first UK solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify!
