P!NK announced as the most played female artist of the 21st Century

Music licensing company PPL has today announced that P!NK is the most played female artist of the 21st Century in the UK. P!NK tops a chart made up of some of the most iconic women in music to commemorate the upcoming National Album Day on October 16th.
P!NK’s solo career began with her debut album Can’t Take Me Home in 2000, which was an instant hit in the UK where it sold over 400,000 copies and was BRIT Certified Platinum. Yet it was her second album, the 6x Platinum ‘M!ssundaztood’ from 2001, which established her as a global pop icon, selling 12 million units worldwide and featuring hit singles “Get The Party Started” and “Just Like A Pill”. Since then, her studio albums have received a total of 13 Platinum awards in the UK and at the 2019 BRIT Awards she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music.
