February 17, 2021
February 10 marked the 50th anniversary of the iconic album “Tapestry” by Carole King.
“Tapestry” remains as one of the most decorated and accomplished albums in history. It received four Grammy Awards in 1972, including Album of the Year, the lead singles from the album – “It’s Too Late” and “I Feel the Earth Move” – spent five weeks at number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Easy Listening charts. The album is still a regular on multiple publications’ ‘Greatest Albums of All Time’ lists, most recently being ranked number 25 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2020.
